Becky Alverson is Bumpers College’s Scholarship, Development, and External Relations Project Specialist.
Becky Alverson has been named Scholarship, Development and External Relations Project Specialist at the U of A’s Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.
Alverson will implement, coordinate, direct, and maintain the Bumpers College scholarship program, including preparing new scholarship agreements, maintaining and monitoring existing scholarship agreements, and maintaining regular contact with donors and students.
Alverson has been on campus since 2017, working in college development as a specialist in matching gifts and complex gifts. In this position, she developed and expanded the corporate matching gift program, trained employees for gift services, processed and settled monthly gifts by direct debit and salary deduction, processed complex and planned gifts, processed daily payments, the accounting department supported databases and managed the monthly identification program .

Prior to joining the U of A, she spent some time with the Alverson Insurance Agency in Fayetteville and worked as the Registrar’s Assistant at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
Alverson, who is from Camden, Arkansas, received her bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Southern Arkansas University in 1990.
Her first day at Bumpers College was Monday January 10th.
Bumpers College offers approximately 500 scholarships worth more than $ 1 million each year. More than 70 percent of the students who complete the application process receive at least one scholarship.
