Cone Health’s Women’s and Children’s Center turns 2 years old

The Moses Cone Hospital Maternity Center has delivered thousands of babies since it opened in 2020.

Greensboro – Cone Health wishes the Women’s and Children’s Center at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital a Happy 2ndnd Date of birth.

The state-of-the-art maternity ward has delivered thousands of babies in the Piedmont Triad despite the challenges of an ongoing pandemic. Since opening on February 23, 2020, the women’s and children’s center has delivered more than 11,000 babies.

“We are very proud of our team and their resilience in bringing their exceptional care to the new building over the past two years while managing the pandemic,” said Sue Pedaline, Chief Nursing Officer, Moses Cone Hospital. “We hope for a brighter future and continue to care for the families of our community.”

The Women’s & Children’s Center features a family-centric design with dozens of rooms dedicated to motherhood and women’s care. The 195,000-square-foot facility includes 45 private neonatal intensive care units (NICU), a private entrance and valet parking.
