JUPITER, FL – September 21, 2021 – On Friday September 10th, Futures Recovery Healthcare is opening its annual Jupiter Recovery Day. Jupiter Recovery Day is an annual event that honors and celebrates recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders in the local community by bringing everyone together. The event will take place over three days, from September 10th and September 24th to 25th.
âThe idea of ââJupiter Recovery Day is to bring local businesses and community members together in the name of recovery. to highlight that recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders is possible and that many people in this community live happy, healthy and sober. They are parents, employees, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, students. It is important that we all come together in the hope that the united message will spread to the many in the Jupiter area who still need hope and encouragement to recover. âSays Laura Kunz, Outreach & Community Liaison of Futures Recovery Healthcare.
Each day offers different activities and events for the guests. The list of community offers looks like this:

Your team will be available to help launch the kayaks.
An event like Jupiter Recovery Day connects people in recovery with the rest of the community. It raises awareness of mental illnesses and substance use disorders and helps overcome the stigma that is still associated with them. Community events like these can also encourage people with a mental or substance-related disorder to feel more confident about seeking treatment and less afraid of being judged by others.
“It shows people that it’s okay to talk openly about their recovery instead of hiding such an important piece of yourself out of shame or fear of judgment,” said Kunz. “When people show up at these events, it helps build positivity and appeal around the recreational lifestyle.”
The event will also raise funds for the Chasin A Dream Foundation, a local nonprofit organization. Chasin A Dream provides individual, life-changing help to families with children struggling with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. Under the slogan âLocals help localsâ, the foundation shares the spirit of Jupiter Recovery Day. https://www.chasinadream.org/.
This year 26 local companies are participating as raffle donors or sponsors. The top sponsorship comes from Brown Mechanical Services, which provides heating, air conditioning and refrigeration services to the South Florida community.
