By accepting cryptocurrencies, Nicklaus Children’s offers supporters with cryptocurrency portfolios the opportunity to support the organization in a tax-efficient manner. The IRS classifies cryptocurrency donations as property, which means they are not subject to capital gains tax and are tax deductible on the donor’s tax return.
