To celebrate World Vegan Month, Fort Wayne Vegan Restaurant Week is taking place for the third time from November 1-7.
During this week-long celebration, the participating restaurants will be offering a special vegan menu to allow guests to sample their plant-based options. Vegan options include meatloaf, pizza, French toast, and ice cream.
âPeople have the wrong idea that vegan food is rabbit food,â said organizer and Master Vegan Lifestyle Coach Heather Dahman of The Veg Academy in a press release. âI want to show people that there is so much more to eat than just salad. I started Fort Wayne Vegan Restaurant Week to make it fun and easy to explore our city’s delicious plant-based options. â
The past Fort Wayne Vegan Restaurant Weeks were a huge success and, according to Dahman, showed that there is a wide range of vegan dishes. And while the demand for plant-based options continues to rise, Fort Wayne restaurants step in with creative vegan cuisine.
“We have a lot of vegan customers so it feels great to give them some new options when they dine at Trubble,” said Keli Hankee, owner of Trubble Brewing, in the press release. âWe also love to get creative and show people that this lifestyle is about more than steamed vegetables. There are lots of delicious things to eat. “
Trubble Brewing, along with 13 other participating restaurants, is offering vegan specials for dinner or to take away during the week-long event.
In contrast to traditional restaurant weeks, which offer a menu at a fixed price (fixed price), the participating restaurants are encouraged to offer a separate vegan menu or specials in addition to their regular meal during the week in order to make it more affordable for all guests.
Fort Wayne Vegan Restaurant Week’s mission is to highlight how easy and delicious it is to eat vegan and to showcase the amazing Fort Wayne restaurant scene that, according to Dahman, goes way beyond the limits with creative vegan options.
âYou don’t have to be vegan to enjoy Fort Wayne Vegan Restaurant Week; you just have to have a taste for good food and the desire to try something new, âsays Dahman.
