Pringles stops manufacturing vegan products to “cut costs”

Famous American potato chip maker Pringles has sparked outrage in the vegan community for adding milk to some of its products.

It came after customers discovered that several flavors were no longer vegan.

One of the most popular in the stackable range is the Texas BBQ Sauce, a flavor that has long been vegan-friendly.

Other flavors that were once vegan include Original, Paprika, Smokey Bacon, and Sweet Chilli. But now vegans cannot enjoy the snacks due to added dairy products.

On social media, Vegan Food UK shared the news and called it a “step backwards”.

Vegan food UK is an online organization that shares vegan food news, reviews, vlogs, and more. It operates on several social media platforms, with a Facebook group, Facebook site, Youtube channel, and Instagram account.

It also released a statement from the company.

And the reason for the change is to allow Pringles to “increase capacity” and “cut costs,” the company said.

In addition, it has enabled the brand to “reduce the amount of food waste” in order to meet sustainability commitments. How exactly this is achieved by adding milk has not yet been publicly disclosed by the brand.
