Fort Lauderdale, Florida will host the very first ever vegan outdoor night market in South Florida on Saturday, July 17th. The Veg Night Out takes place in Fort Lauderdale’s trendy MASS District from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and features a wide variety of vegan food, craft products, and entertainment.
Veg Night Out was created in collaboration between Sean Russell, founder of SoFlo Vegans, and Melissa Guzman, owner of The Caribe Vegan. The goal of the vegan outdoor night market is to showcase the collective power of the vegan community and to bring South Florida audiences together to enjoy the best of the region’s growing plant scene. The MASS District is also considered one of the fastest growing arts districts and is a hub for the city’s vegan community.
Veg Night Out sponsors and vendors include plant-based brands such as Hodo Foods, Sayblee, and Anny’s Bread Factory, as well as Seed Food and Wine and PureHoney Magazine, both of which support the event.
Founded by media producer and community organizer Sean Russell, SoFlo Vegans is a South Florida-based platform providing resources, articles, videos, and podcasts for those curious about a plant-based diet or vegan lifestyle. SoFlo Vegans is also open to companies looking to explore advertising opportunities.
Owned and operated by Melissa Guzman in Miami, Florida, The Caribe Vegan Food Truck functions as both a food truck and a restaurant and will soon be launching its own line of vegan sauces. Guzman also founded the Vegan Village in Miami last year and after a successful run, decided to team up with SoFlo Vegans to create Veg Night Out.
