There is a quote from Clarence Kelland about fatherhood that I refer to often: “He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived and let me see it.”
As a father of three children, two in elementary school, I always think of their safety and well-being. Most of all, I want to know that they are protected and cared for so they can focus on school and being a child. That’s never clearer than now.
Whilst I hope they are safe at school and their minds well nourished, I am also responsible for making sure their bodies are nourished which is why we decided to raise them on a plant based diet.
A wholesome, plant-based diet is optimal for all stages of human development. Meat, dairy and eggs lead to heart disease and cancer in children as young as 10 years old. With a range of plant-based diet options now available, raising vegan kids is easier than ever.
As parents, we have a lifelong responsibility to care for our children and set a good example. This Father’s Day, choose compassion for our future together.
